Photos from the Baltic Sea – Photography of Sandy Beaches and Seaports –Images of the Coastline

Here we show selected photographs from our “Baltic Sea”gallery.
This gallery largely consists of landscape photography of the Darss peninsula with Fischland, Poel Island, Ruegen Island and Usedom Island and the Danish Belt.

The salient theme is the beauty of the beaches. The coastlines of the Baltic are represented in the shades of the four seasons, showing off the untouched and secluded beaches, overgrown with dune-grass and pines (Krummholz) as well as myriad forms of life. A landscape of dunes, rocks, stony beaches and bluffs are the dominant features from Koenigstuhl to the Bay of Luebeck. In addition to brilliant sunsets, we have photographs in our collection which convey the play of subtle light in the early morning hours at the shores of the Baltic.

In addition to these images are photos of the harbour entrance in Warnemünde, near Rostock, Stralsund and some of the old harbour in Wismar, landscape pictures overlooking an expanse of water, and the lagoon near the Wustrow peninsula.
